Averyl Crouse is a multimedia video producer focusing on creating short-form content that is effective at conveying narrative to an audience by capturing the stories of the unconventional -- through people, emotions, or inanimate objects. Seeking to create films that evoke a sense of authenticiaty and intimacy, to encourage viewers to engage with subjects on a deeper level. Exploring many different mediums such as film, documentary, photography, and emerging media while developing technical skills in writing, pre-production, and editing.
Crouse earned a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Storytelling with a production concentration from the Univeristy of Missouri. Graduating in December 2024, she also received a minor in Film Studies and a minor in Journalism.
Gaining experience on a variety of sets, Crouse has had the opportunity to fill a variety of roles on student productions, gaining exposure to every facet of the creative filmmaking process.
As a camera operator for Mizzou Broadcast Operations she specialized in baseball and softball, capturing content for use in live broadcasts and marketing ventures. Stepping in front of the camera as KCrew member for the Kansas City Royals, goals were to enhance the fan experience by putting on live promotions on a professional sports broadcast set. She learned about large-scale entertainment events as an Operations Intern in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. Developing her own entrepreneurial venture, Averyl Opal Productions, has given her exposure to client relations, project management, and creative direction. Each of these expereineces shaped her approach to storytelling, fostering a passion for creating immersive, impactful visual content.
